In summary, cash rounding is when the minimum unit of account is smaller than the lowest physical denomination of currency. The amount payable for a cash transaction is rounded to the nearest multiple of the minimum currency unit available, whereas transactions paid in other ways are not rounded (for example electronic funds transfer like credit cards, or negotiable instruments like cheques).
Setting this up is very easy and can be done from the
Point of Sale > Settings > General page. Simple enable the feature labeled as
Cash Rounding and then decide what to the nearest value you want the total to be rounded to:
After you have configured the rounding value, click on
Save changes at the bottom of the page. When loading the register and tendering the amount due, you will notice the total value will round to the nearest rounding value set and configured.
